Getting There
The main entry point for Addis Ababa is the Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa. The airport code for the Bole International Airport is ADD. There are many different airlines serving Addis Ababa so finding a suitable flight to Addis Ababa is not difficult. The airline operating out of Addis Ababa is Ethiopian Airlines. Ethiopian Airlines is quite advanced among the airlines in Africa, and will be getting the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner airplane next year, the first airline in Africa to obtain these new airplanes.
Visas
Before leaving for Addis Ababa, a tourist or business visa may be obtained from the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington D.C. We used a travel agency to obtained the visas for us. The visas took less than one week to obtain, and the following are the visa fees.
